He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry B. Bechtol and Nellie Louise Bechtol (Hall); his wife Albertine "Toni" Bechtol (DeCuypere); his siblings, Harry Bechtol, Jack Bechtol and Dareda Benton; his sister-in-law Shirley Bechtol; and his son Gary Ellis.
He is survived by: his children, Renee Bolz (Jim), Connie Votava (Charles Nyland II), Jane Myers (David) and Joseph Weakley (Pam); his grandchildren, Amy Myers (Trevor Jaskew), Colby Votava (Amber), Seth Votava (Chelsey), Parker Votava, Evalyn Votava, Carter Votava, Kevin Bolz (Rachel), Melinda Hall (Matt), Joseph Weakley (Nicole), Julia Beffrey and Jacob Beffrey; his great grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Kaylie Hall, Madison Hall, Eliot Weakley, Flinigan Weakley, Amelia Weakley, Laurel Weakley, Isla Mae Jaskew, Abram Jaskew, Callie Votava, Cassie Votava, Cammie Votava and Emma Bolz; his brother Leroy Bechtol; and his children, Dennis Siddall (Jan), Patti Ellis and Pat Gilbert (Wendy).
