He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Franklin Coy and June I. Coy (Riegel); and his sister Linda Hargis. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Coy; his son Travis Lee Coy; and his grandson Jack Day, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
