Fred Opich Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2024, at the age of 89, Fred Opich of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Opich and Sophie Opich (Durakovic); his wife Kay; and his siblings, Sadie Hoag, Mary Williamson, Annie Crane, Stella Goodacre and Joe Opich.
He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Hill of Battle Creek and Lisa Opich of Battle Creek; and his grandsons, Trevor Eason (Kelsey), Mitchell Hill (Tess) and Pierce Eason. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
He teased the neighborhood children and entertained them with games, hiding quarters in the yard, with fireworks and bottle rockets on the Fourth of July and wearing a mask to scare the kids and hand out candy on Halloween.
