He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Askew; his son Gerald William Askew (Shannon); his sisters, Peggy Ann Spells (Lyndon) and Melody Lynn Askew; his nieces, Rebekkah Spells (Michael Pulver), Sarah Hardin (Calvin) and Faith Burchett (Jordan); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah Straubel (Micheal Green), Hailey Peguero (Kilian Southworth), Lauren Peguero, Makayla Pulver, Ethan Hardin, Brooklyn Burchett and Jordan Burchett; his close friends, Jo Britanyak, Susan Lopshire and Debbie Burns; Colson Green.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children are suggested.
