It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Hookway of Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Martinez and Mariam Martinez (Fransico); and his aunts, Rosie Thomas and Lenora Francisco. He is survived by: his wife Laura Kader; his children, Casey Hookway of Parma and Drew Hookway of Warsaw, Indiana; his stepsons, Paul Slone (Terri Ebbs) of Battle Creek, Mitchell Slone of Charlotte and Gregory Slone (Jennifer) of Battle Creek, Michigan; his siblings, John Martinez (Sheila) of Deerfield Beach, Michael Martinez of Marshall, Jeani Martinez of Quincy and Teresa Lilly of Springfield, Missouri; and his cousins, Joanie Damon (Mick) of Marshall and Sharon Simmons (Rex) of Massilon, Ohio.. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
