He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence Allen and Ethel Jean Burkhead (Martin); his parents-in-law, Jim Allen, Louise Allen and Don Walling; his siblings-in-law, Grady Jarrell and Connie Walling; and his cousin Chris Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Angie L. Walling; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Bill Bolton of Battle Creek; his siblings-in-law, Melbra Jarrell and Rick Walling; his siblings' children, Diana Richardson (Ross), Shad Walling (Jamie Lambeth), Robert Summerfield (Shaun) and Bill Summerfield; his pets, Molly and Lennox; and his brothers, Norman Ray Burkhead and Keith Lynn Burkhead. He is also survived by four great nephews, four great nieces, three great great-nephews, two great great-nieces.
