He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bentley and Geraldenia Bentley (Devoe); and his sisters, Linda Kay Steele, Joyce Ann Woods and Gloria (Junior).
He is survived by: his daughter Shatia F. Bentley; his grandchildren, Nariyah Wingfield, Nyquaya Yore, Deshauta Marshall and Lavell Wilson (Carl Strickland); his sisters, Patsy Ann Brown, Beverly Dunlap and Mary Hillman; and his close friend Renee Hart.
