She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henry Jr. and Iva Corlew (Corlew); her son Waleed; her parents-in-law, Mary and Robert Guy; and her brother-in-law Kamau Guy.

She is survived by: her husband Abayomi Husam Guy; her children, Hasan Tamu (Aamirah), Shauna, Abdul Ashanti (Chesa), Johari, Fadayeen, Menkara, Kamau, Ojore and Taykiah; and her siblings, Charlene, Marylou, Carolayne, Denise and Richie. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren with 2 grandchildren on the way, and 27 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
