James Michael Bateman Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael Bateman of Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on October 9, 2020, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Jerie Bateman (Taylor); and his grandparents, Lloyd, Mildred Bateman, Eldonna, Milton C. "Jack" Lomire and Frank Holtzclaw.

He is survived by: his parents, Lloyd Bateman of Kalamazoo and Anne Dykhouse (Holtzclaw); his stepfather Phil Dykhouse of Battle Creek; his stepsisters, Michelle Yiu (Ed), Amanda Ferraro (Marc) of Kalamazoo and Jill Wood (Doug) of Stevensville; and his close friends, Jerry, Jodie, George Ed, Mitzi and Wanda. He is also survived by aunt, uncle and several step-nieces, nephews, five cousins.
