Joan Coston Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Coston of Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on February 27, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Proudfit and Maryann Proudfit (Smith); her husband George William Coston; and her brothers, Gordon Terry, Dennis (Komarck) and John Henry.

She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Mixon, Kathy Douglas and Julie Truckey; her grandchildren, Jennifer Bradley, Stacy Schweitzer, Kirsten Waltrip, Cory Girdley and Allison Truckey; her great grandchildren, Ryland Bowles, Liam Waltrip, Rowan Schweitzer, Jack Schweitzer, Mason Girdley and Paisley Girdley; her great great grandchild Charlotte Bowles; and her stepgrandson Derek Mixon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
