With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Carpenter of Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on June 15, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joe Carpenter to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Carpenter, Jr. and Lillie Matt Carpenter (Joe Louis Carpenter). He is survived by: his wife Lula Carpenter (Glass) of Battle Creek, Michigan; his children, Selena Williams (Luther) of Indianapolis, IN, Jataune Carpenter of Battle Creek, MI and Stephen Carpenter of Battle Creek, MI; and his siblings, Felix Carpenter III, Ulice Carpenter, Albert Carpenter, Ester Mosbey and Pheobie Hall. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service (375 W Dickman Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037).
