It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John R. Walton (Battle Creek, Michigan), born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Walton and Alma Walton; and his wife Donna Walton. He is survived by : his children, Christine Walton, John Walton Burnight and Dan Hirleman; his stepson Josh Moon; his sister Anne Roderick; and his grandchildren, Cacey Hirleman, Amanda Layman, Beckett Moon and Lu Moon.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care (105 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (349 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017).
