He was predeceased by: his parents, Elden VanDee and Emma VanDee (Little); his sons, Paul Ives and Joseph Ives; and his sister Debbie Manwarren.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Potter; his children, Melissa Everett, Aneisa Ives, Ed Standish, Kevin Ives and Donald Ives (Barb); his siblings, Edwin Ives, Michael Stockman (Barbara), Dorothy Lubking, Brenda VanDee and Sandra VanDee; and his close friend Gail. He is also survived by his 32 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
