He was predeceased by: his parents, John Liggett and Lillian Liggett (Weakley). He is survived by: his wife Dolly; his children, Laura Ford (David), Wendy Ford, David Liggett (Jody), Doug Liggett (Jamie), Kevin Liggett (Meghan) and Julie Lewis (Andy); his sisters, Carolyn Campbell and Janis Anderson; and his close friend Judi Standish. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
