We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2025, at the age of 55, Lisa Nelson of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lisa Nelson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnew Keener and Patsy Dixon (Horwath). She is survived by: her husband Joseph Robert Nelson; her children, Cody Keener, Fred Nelson, Joseph Nelson II and Natasha Nelson; her grandchildren, Emya, Rae'Lynn, Javian, JaKarion, Jamire, Cody, Isiah and Ky'ire; her brother Jerry Heath; and her stepfather Ronald Dixon. She is also survived by relatives, special friends, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service (375 W Dickman Rd, Battle Creek, MI 49037). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Southwestern Michigan Urban League, 172 W Van Buren Street, Battle Creek, MI.
