She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvilda Mathis (Cordell) and Coy Taylor Mathis; her husband Leo Wilbur Spencer; and her siblings, Carolyn, Claudia, Donnie and Diane.
She is survived by: her sons, Curtis Spencer (Shirley), Gary Spencer and Tracy Alan Spencer (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Jeremy Spencer (Tracie), Jonathan Spencer, Jennifer Cochard (Michael), Amy Aguirre (Louie) and Bethany Spencer (David); her siblings, Helen Stagnaro (Charlie) and David Mathis (Susan); and her daughter-in-law Shirley. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Calhoun County Medical Facility, where Lou spent her last three years under their compassionate care.
