She was predeceased by: her husband Ramlal Mungroo Sookhai; and her son Samuel Sookhai. She is survived by: her children, Samson Sookhai (Marie) of Montreal, Errole Sookhai (Paula), Visnu Sookhai (Terri) of Battle Creek, Mahase Sookhai of Kalamazoo, Shiva Nataraj-Allen (Randolph) of Florida, Celia Lutchman of Trinidad, Sylvie Sookhai of England, Sarah Ameche (Brian) of Dewitt, Joan Taylor of Florida, Esther Frisby (Stephen) of Plano, Edith Nixon (Charles) of St. Louis and Uma Bosher (Robert) of Killeen, Texas. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
