He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Willis and Louise Willis (Voegeli); his brother Robert Willis; his nephews, Steven Page and Richard Otis, Jr.; and his niece Debbie Otis.

He is survived by: his sons, Geoffrey of Battle Creek and Gregory Willis of Battle Creek; and his sisters, Jeri Otis of Battle Creek and Sue Foster of Battle Creek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
