Mary R. Gothard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary R. Gothard (Battle Creek, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo VanDenberg and Dora VanDenberg; her husband Jackie Marcelle Gothard; and her siblings, Josephine Dingledine and William VanDenberg.
She is survived by: her children, Marcella Reena Priestley (Roger) and Scott Dewayne Gothard (Tracie); her granddaughters, Raegan and Amara; and her siblings, Sam VanDenberg, Ronald VanDenberg, Donald VanDenberg, Francis Curtis and Jacqueline Fulcher. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary's memory to The Angel Tree Program at The Salvation Army of Battle Creek, Michigan.
