She was predeceased by: her parents, Marjorie Ismirle and Gene Ismirle. She is survived by: her daughter Shelby Waite; her granddaughter Kailey Childs; and her brothers, David Ismirle (Deborah) and Craig Ismirle (Valoree). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
One of Nilda's last acts of kindness was buying a rain poncho to protect herself and her electric wheelchair from the rain so she could participate in an Alzheimer's fundraiser walk on October 14.
