It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard W. Adkins of Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Adkins and Emma Adkins (Hamilton); his children, Melissa Kelley and Sammy Adkins; his siblings, Paula Adkins, Joyce Chism, Ronald "Dean" Adkins and Robert Adkins (Dianne); his brother-in-law Richard "Spike" Spyker; and his grandson Shawn Kelley.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his son Richard W. Adkins, II; his siblings, Randel T. Adkins, Ralph E. Adkins (Bonnie), Roger M. Adkins (Cindy), Russell Adkins (Candi), Cheryle Wells (Dan) and Lois Spyker; and his brother-in-law Howard Chism. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
