He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester Strader and Lucile Strader (Wickett); and his wife Veroneze Kellogg Strader. He is survived by : his children, Eric, Laura Strader of Plainwell, Leanne and Tim Kreps of Bridgewater, VA; his sister Joyce Whitted of Chandler, AZ; and his grandchildren, Josie, Calvin Strader, Libby and Andrew Kreps.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the South Michigan Food Bank of Battle Creek (https://smfoodbank.org) or to the United Methodist Church Reconciling Ministries.

I have known Dick since the early 1990's both as a friend and fellow storyteller. Veronese and Dick both walked the walk of being peacemakers locally, and on a larger scale as well. Dick was a delightful storyteller, who mentored many on their tale telling journey by initiating many community engagement programs. Blessings to your family as you carry on.”
