He was predeceased by: his wife Willetta Shoens; his daughter Cynthia Mumford; and his parents, Robert Shoens and Maidee Shoens. He is survived by: his children, Robert Jr. Shoens (Cindy) and Linda Shoens; his grandchildren, Robert Shoens (Jaime), Lesley Jane Mumford, David Mumford (Crystal), Renee Meridith Happs (Jake) and April Nichole Lagutaris; and his sister Phyllis Tippett. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to the 100th Bomb Group Foundation or the American Air Museum in Britain.
