He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Calvin Walton and Laura Lee Burt; his wife Roxanne Walton; and his siblings, Vesta Snell and Gregory Walton.

He is survived by: his children, Joshua Byrd (Tabitha), Christina Marion (Micheal), Robert Walton II (Stacy) and Amanda Walton (Brent Dingee); and his grandchildren, Mickey Jex, Joshua Byrd, Jordan Byrd, Leslie Stout, Ceara Stout, Asia Marion, Micheal Marion Jr., Jay Byrd and Ryan Marion. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
