He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin F. Behnke and Nancy Larene Behnke (King); his wife Hilda Criswell; and his brother Frederick Behnke. He is survived by: his sons, Robert P. Behnke, Jr. (Sarah) of Battle Creek, MI and David S. Behnke of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Erin Ure (Eliot), Phillip Owen, Ashley Gancer (Tony), Zachary Behnke (Victoria), Nathan Behnke (Amber), Tyler Behnke, Caliee Behnke and Sara Behnke; and his brother Karl Behnke of Marshall, MI. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews.
