He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Leo and Maxine Palmer (Newberry); and his siblings, Marie Westfall, Joyce Collige, Pat Voyce, Leo and Jerry Palmer.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Ann Duckham; his sons, Dwight Palmer (Kathy) of Galesburg and Keith Palmer (Cheri) of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, James Palmer, Leann Palmer, Christopher Palmer (Brianne) and Jacob Palmer (Blake Whitmore); his great grandchildren, Tobias and Felicity; and his close friends, Ken Kindy (Dolores) of Battle Creek, Don Kirkland (Veldine) of Battle Creek, Max, Daiwa, Tootsie, Butters, Bernie and Luigi.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence.
