Samuel leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Samuel’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Samuel will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard James Gorton and Marguerite Gorton (Miles). He is survived by: his children, Sharon Driscoll (Lundy) of Florida and Justin Gorton; his siblings, Gary and Rita Davis (Gorton); and his pet Sadie. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church (4790 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
