She was predeceased by: her husband Stephen Cooper. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Ferguson (Dan), Stephen Cooper (Cindi) and Khris Carr (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Josh Cooper, Alexis Cooper, Aliyah Cooper, Landon Cooper, Ashlyn Cooper, Sam Cooper, Nayah Carr and Jaida Rivera; her siblings, Paul Chalfant, Si Chalfant and Sandra Anderson; and her sister-in-law Lyla Schmidt. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the North Avenue Church of God (1079 North Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49017).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
