She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Della Thurston (Summers) and Martin R. Thurston (Fritz); her husband David L. Hallaxs Sr.; and her siblings, Gary Crawford, Patricia Knight and Linda M. Hadden.

She is survived by: her brother Jimmy Thurston of Idaho; her daughter Belinda J. Dowding (David); her grandchildren, Heather Watson (MSgt Marc), Sarah Burson (Jay), Hunter Ashley Dowding and Savannah Burton (Eric); her great grandchildren, Cadance, Victoria, Evelynn Marie, Sylvie, Saylor-Wren, Trey, Ember and Elliana; and her nephews, Brian Hallaxs (Desire) and Mike Knight.
