She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Morris and Bessie Grant Morris; her former husband Wilbur Johnson; her daughter Brenda Johnson; her husband Martin Suttles; her sister Vida Shelton; her niece Virlon "" Willis of Virginia; and her nephew Jonathan Willis.

She is survived by: her son Patrick Johnson (Laurie); her grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Taylor Connell (Logan) and Kirstin VanderWall (Adam); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Gracelyn and Kensi Johnson; her nephews, Earl Willis (Monica) and Wayne Willis; and her close friends, David Jones and Marlene Elfin.
