He was predeceased by: his parents, William Luther Collins Sr. and Gertie Mae Collins (Hutcheson); his wife Alma Collins; and his sisters, Sandra "Sonnie" Boes, Mildred "Millie" Halk, Melba Yates, Reatha "Tiny" Angel, Mary Cuyler-Willavize and Juanita Collins.
He is survived by: his sons, Rodney Collins (Linda) and Gary Collins; his grandchildren, Kimberly Merchant (John Bielski), Kristen Buller (Ron), Chad Collins, Brandon Collins, Shannon Collins and Brittany Collins; and his great grandchildren, Caitlin Betz (Travis), Gary Hartman, Alyssa Crandall and Kylee Crandall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
