He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar B. Nelson and Virginia Nelson (Pacynski); his aunt Lorraine Neumeyer; his son Ronald R. Nelson; his parent-in-law Casimer Zielinski (Clara); and his siblings-in-law, Bernadine Nelson, Robert Zielinski and Clarence Bogart.

He is survived by : his wife Stella M. Zielinski; his children, Allan Patrick Nelson and Mary Lynn Nelson (Hugh Gail); and his brother Ronald O. Nelson.
