He was predeceased by: his fathers, Erwin Wegener and Allan; his wife Arlene Marciniak (Marciniak); his daughter Sharon; his siblings, Earl and Virley; and his siblings-in-law, Armond Herbolsheimer, Art Eichinger, Louis Korman, Ron Marciniak, Geraldine Wegener and Judy Marciniak.
He is survived by: his son Steve (Tris Groeneveld); his siblings, Valerie Korman and Lyn Wegener (Jan); his grandchildren, Kyle and Gregg; his brother Dale; and his sister-in-law Diane Hunt.
