It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carlos Espitia Jr. (Bay City, Michigan), born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores Nuncio; his father Carlos Espitia, (S. Navy); his stepmother Petra Espitia, Sr.; his mother Emilia Espitia (Apolinar); his son Carlos Espitia, III; his siblings, Tony Espitia and Mary; and his son-in-law Howard "Sonny" Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Rosa Bailey, Emilia Walraven, Lolita Stevens (Chris), Diana Sprung (Gene), Arthuro Espitia and Dawn Doran Espitia; his sisters, Carlotta, Estella, Eva, Elida and Dora; his sister-in-law Linda Muallem (Hani); and his caregivers, Matt, Grace Hernandez and Bonnie Meade. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trahan Funeral Chapel (256 N Madison Ave, Bay City, MI 48708). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests donations in Carlos' memory to the Bay Veterans Foundation.
