He is survived by: his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Sally Sheppard; and his sibling's children, Mark A. Ruegsegger (Jennifer), Matthew W. Ruegsegger (Kerri), Sara A. Werner (Josh), Ashley M. Sheppard Knepfler (Carl), Adam R. Sheppard (Nikki) and Alexanderia D. Sheppard Soriano (Gerardo).
