He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Chartier and Mary Chartier (Ignasinski); his wife Mary E. Chartier (Brunette); and his son Vince Chartier. He is survived by: his sister Darlene Terry; his daughters, Cindy Chartier and Cathy Shinevar; his stepchildren, Joseph Bonk (Andrea) and Julie Bonk; his grandchildren, Gina, Destiny, Kristen, Rachel, Kayla and Keenan Bonk; and his great grandchildren, Destiny, Alexis, Timothy and Pyper.
