We are sad to announce that, on March 31, 2022, at the age of 92, Frederick J. Smith of Bay City, Michigan, born in Saginaw, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernice John and Dorothy Mae Smith (Kothe); his brother Charles "Chuck" Smith of New Hampshire; and his nephew Richard "Ricky" Smith of New Hampshire. He is survived by: his wife Theresia "Teri" Gjarmati; his children, Kathi Smith-Nowlin and Dr. F. Matthew Smith (Libby Stallman) of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Michael Nowlin of Florida, Alexandra Nowlin of Florida, Sidra Smith of Traverse City and Jagger Smith of Traverse City; his sister-in-law Kathy Marshall (Barry) of Frankenmuth; his nephews, Charles Smith (Sue) of New Hampshire and Kevin Marshall (Amy) of Farmington Hills; his niece Debbie Pressler (Jim) of Frankenmuth; his caregivers, Jose Cabrera and Steve Fillion; Michael Nowlin of Auburn, Mal and Lynne McCuen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions be made to All Saints Parish – St. Boniface Church or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
