We are sad to announce that, on September 20, 2023, at the age of 80, Gary Lee Pobanz of Bay City, Michigan, born in Sebewaing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Pobanz and Katharina Pobanz (Haug); his siblings, Daniel Pobanz Jr., Dwayne Pobanz, Ronald Pobanz, Fred Pobanz and Joan Mooney; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Carter, Jerry Mooney and Royce Hornbacher.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lazaurk; his children, Heather Austin (Mike), Brent Pobanz (Amy), Blythe Tyler and Alexa Pobanz; his grandchildren, Zachary Austin, Lucas, Tobias, Noelle Pobanz, Adison and Walker Spitsbergen; and his sisters, Jacqueline Carter, Kay Gaines (Gary), Sandra Bryer (Dick), Donna Martin (Ernie) and Sheila Hornbacher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers and memorial donations, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite organization, treat your grandchildren to an ice cream cone, or buy your friends a round.
