She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Carey and Madeline Carey; her siblings, Glenn Carey and Donna Emery; and her siblings-in-law, Frank Emery and Mary Carey.
She is survived by: her husband Jon; her children, Clinton Hodo, Don Erndt Jr. (Kelly) of Bay City, Elizabeth Fillmore (John) of Essexville and Rebecca Erndt of Bay City; her granddaughters, Heather Jankens of Fife Lake, MI and Rachel Smith (Rob) of Belding, MI.; and her brothers, Ken Carey Jr. and Brian Carey.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Quest Unity Church (3736 State Street Rd, Bay City, MI 48706).
In lieu of flowers, Jean would have loved donations to be made to an animal rescue or shelter of your choice, like the Humane Society or Shelter Angels, to help other precious souls in need.
