He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hignite and Trinvilla Hignite (Hardy); his former spouse Betheny Bliss; and his brothers, James, Arthur, David and Ralph.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Morrison Bacigalupo; his children, Michael Hignite (Paula), Gordon Hignite (Gloria) and Lori Hignite; his grandchildren, Eleanor Bontrager (Aaron), Matthew Hignite, Michael Marble (Autumn) and Christopher Marble; his great grandchildren, Eliza and Benjamin Bontrager; his stepchildren, Janet Beattie, Andy Bacigalupo (Sherri), Michael Bacigalupo (Donna), Brian Bacigalupo (Tina), Tony Bacigalupo (Jena) and Betsy Kolm (Jordon); his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Beattie (Renie), Andrew Beattie (Natalie), Thomas, Tyler, Sophia Bacigalupo, Zachary Bacigalupo, Nicole Yoder (Adam), Matthew Gakstatter (Rachel Greene), Logan Gakstatter, Lindsay Irrer (Alex), Carter Bacigalupo, Mia, Owen Bacigalupo and Preston Kolm; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Genevieve, Collin Beattie, Vaira, Hudson Yoder, Emma Gakstatter, Charlotte Greene, Tatum, Luca, Lennon Irrer, Jade, Rose and Hunter Beattie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
