He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn Wright-Hurt; his children, Jackie Misiak (Mark) of Bay City, Jill Emeott (Don) of Shields, Jodi Beecher (Orvil) of Caro, Laura Janowicz (Joe) of Essexville, Stephen Hurt of Tulsa, OK, James Hurt (Kristin) of Jenison and Robb Hurt of Grand Rapids; his sister Mary Ann Fortin (Jerry); his sister-in-law MaryJo Carrier; and his close friends, Nancy Gwizdala of Bay City, Kathy Divine of Bay City and Tom Nichols (Barb) of Bay City.
The family suggests donations in Jim's memory to be directed to the wishes of the family, and those funds will be used to support local organizations that Jim deeply cared about.
