James leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James will carry forward his memory in their hearts.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Sylvester Ryan and Grace Cecilia Koyle.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trahan Funeral Chapel (256 N Madison Ave, Bay City, MI 48708). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. During their time on Earth, Jim and Patricia survived wars, COVID-19, and chose to love each other through it all.

The family suggests donations in Jim's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
