Janet Carroll Obituary

Janet Ruth Carroll, 82, of Bay City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026. She was born on July 25, 1944, to Victor and Mary Farwell in Lapeer, Michigan. She married Patrick Carroll in 1961 at Deerfield Church of Christ in Lapeer, MI and together they shared 51 wonderful years.

Janet worked at Rachel Sovereign Nursing Home for 27 years, caring for residents as if they were her own family. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering at Good Samaritan Rescue Mission for 8 years, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of Foundation Church for 33 years. Janet had a special place in her heart for the elderly and for young children. Nothing made her happier than time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Sermon and her spouse Richard, Tamara Galus and her spouse Steven, Patrick Carroll, and Victoria Dawkins and her spouse Terry. She is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, Patrick Carroll III, Tony Moten, Justin Moten, Daniel Carroll, Elizabeth Carroll and her spouse John, Emily Galus, and Brock Carroll, as well as four precious great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Patrick Carroll; her parents, Victor and Mary Farwell; two grandchildren, Bradley and Dylan; and one great-grandchild, Camerom.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 2, 2026 at Foundation Church at 11am with Pastor Scott Morris presiding with inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 10am till time of service at Foundation Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Janet's name to Foundation Church in Kawkawlin, Michigan, or Good Samaritan Rescue Mission in Bay City, Michigan.
