She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald G. Hildinger; her parents, John Sowa and Cecilia Derwinski (Trombka); her adoptive father Francis Derwinski; her grandchildren, Ryan Hildinger and Hailee Friedle; her sisters, Donna Derwinski, Janice Umphrey and Frances Robinson; and her brother-in-law James Hildinger (Karen).
She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Hildinger (Cindy), John Hildinger (Stephanie), Dennis Hildinger (Angela) and Tim Hildinger (Penny); her brother-in-law Allen Hildinger (Nancy); her nephew Todd Umphrey (Trisha); and her caregiver Nancy. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests donations in Joan's memory to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish.
