With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John S. Guettler of Bay City, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Guettler and Caroline Guettler (Reichard); his siblings, Robert Guettler (Edith Gorm), Donald Guettler (Lillian), Maynard Guettler (Marianne) and Mary Ann Guettler; his brother-in-law Kenneth Traxler; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Laura Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Ira, Annie Schmidt, Shirley and Leslie Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Schmidt of Paul's Lutheran Church; his great grandchildren, Lynne Irving (Bill Koch) and Gary Guettler (Brenda); his sisters, Caroline Traxler and Lorna Dietlein (Richard); and also, Christopher, Jana Irving, Kaylyn Dimaya (Derek), Layla, Chloe, Carol Histed (Brad), Ryan Histed (Jodi), Emmett, Ryder, Craig Histed (Nicole), Madalyn, Lakyn, Tony Histed (Angie), Brian Guettler (Shannon), Danielle Piechowiak (John) and Adam Guettler (Kellee Sears). He is also survived by four children, & 8 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (1010 33rd St, Bay City, MI 48708). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Floral Gardens Cemetery (2215 Cass Avenue Rd, Bay City, MI 48708).
