He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Helmling, Jr. and Marjorie Marie Helmling (Hartman); and his brother Douglas "Doug" Helmling. He is survived by: his sons, Cody Thomas and Dylan Gregory (Jada Archer); his wife Pauline Marie Guerin; his grandson River; his brothers, Brian of South Lyon and Keith of Brighton; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Pauline Guerin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in‑laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Angiosarcoma Awareness, Inc., the University of Michigan Sarcoma Clinic, or to the Wishes of the Family in care of Pauline Helmling. Keep John's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
