He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Benedict and Dena Benedict (Milner); his wife Barbara Jean Benedict; his children, Denise Mitchell (Mike), Kevin Benedict (Kandy) and Diane Carniello; his grandchildren, Mallory Payne (Joshua), Jenna Sheldrake (Cody), Cassie Benedict, Kyle Benedict (Jessica), Louis Carniello and Samantha Carniello; his great grandchildren, Ariella, Rosalyn, Abel, Everleigh, Chase and Everett; his stepchildren, Jim Anderson (Mary Mosesso) and Jorri Novak (Eric Kunisch); his stepgrandchildren, Camden Anderson, Machlain Anderson, Haley Novak, Carter Novak, Ella Kunisch and Andrew Kunisch; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Howard (Ellis) and Betty VanDeWater (Rick); his nephew Dennis Mohowitsch; his nephew-in-law Twayne Howard (Sharon); and his brother Peter Benedict.
