Jose Refugio Zavala Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jose Refugio Zavala of Bay City, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Zavala, Sr. and Beatrice Ontiveros; his brother Rob Zavala; and his nephews, Ruben Zavala and J. R. Ramirez.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jesus "Jessie" Zavala Jr. (Katrina), Angelita Ramirez (Ruben), Lillie Aguirre (Rodolfo), Juan Zavala and Rosa Facundo; his goddaughter Malena Facundo; and his friends, Tony Garcia, Kevin Leahy, Joe Velasquez and Dan Schwartz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services – Bay County (821 N Pine Rd, Essexville, MI 48732).
