We are sad to announce that, on December 22, 2025, at the age of 90, Joyce M. Stapish (Bay City, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude L. Stapish, Sr. (Ploof) and Edward Stapish, Sr.; her grandparents, Thomas, Norah Stapish (Doherty), George and Oziel Ploof (LeVasseur); her brother-in-law John Coupie; and the father of her children Raymond D. Kusmierz.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Kusmierz (Judy), Daniel Kusmierz (Kari), Karen Kusmierz (David Woods) and Joseph Kusmierz (Sherry); her grandchildren, Nicole Kusmierz, Janelle Werbeck (Eric), Cliff Kusmierz (Jenny Findlay), Alex Kusmierz (Brenda), Paige Sydow (Spenser), Hannah Kusmierz (Brady Adams), Christopher Rood (Sarah), Brandon Rood (Pamela), Katherine Rood, Brianna Rood (John Cameron), Austin Rood, Daniel Woods (Heather), Benjamin Woods, Kevin Kusmierz (Kiwako), Michael Kusmierz and Jenna Kusmierz; and her siblings, Edward Stapish, Jr., Patricia Coupie and Molly Stapish. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family suggests donations in Joyce's memory to Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish.
