Kenneth H. DienerBay City, Michigan Kenneth Howard Diener, known to many as Ken, Kenny, and Pops, passed away on April 27, 2026, in Bay City, Michigan, at the age of 65. He was born on May 13, 1960, in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Rodney & Kathleen (Husted) Diener.
Ken attended Akron Fairgrove High School, where he began building the foundation of the life he would go on to live with pride and determination. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Deserray Wright, Derrik Diener, Cody Dutcher, sister Kimberly, his girlfriend Lisa Bowman, and his guardian Angel Adam, his fur baby Haze. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Spencer, Miley, Carlee, Bentley, Elisabeth Audrey Diener, loved by his nieces and nephew. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he treasured the moments they shared together. Ken took great pride in his family, and his role as a father, grandfather, companion, and loved one was one he embraced with sincerity and devotion. He was preceded in death by Rodney Diener Jr., Edwin Diener, Brian Diener, stepbrother Donald Prough, grandparents, and a nephew.
Ken loved the Detroit Lions and followed them with enthusiasm, sharing in the highs and lows of the game with the same loyalty he showed in life. He also deeply enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to rock and roll, those moments were among the most meaningful to him.
Those who knew Ken will remember him as a loving, friendly, and courageous man whose life touched many others.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
